Application Process

Applications are now being accepted for the class beginning in September 2009. Please follow the instructions below to start your application process. For help with this process, please contact us at (949) 824-1442 or at sotharac@uci.edu.

 

There are two application cycles for fall 2010 start.  The first application cycle begins September 15, 2009 through March 1, 2010 and the second cycle is from April 15, 2010 through June 1, 2010.  Applicants will only be able apply during these cycles.

 

Step 1:
Fill out the online application at https://apps.grad.uci.edu/ogsa//index.cfm?

Use code 7222B in Social Ecology

Step 2:
Once you have finalized your application in full, press the submit button which then prompts you to pay the $70 application fee using Visa or MasterCard. You can also pay by check or money order, payable to "UC Regents," and mailed to:

After submitting the application fee, your application will be submitted and you should receive e-mail confirmation.

Step 3:
Provide Letter of Recommendation and Waiver of Access forms to the three people you have identified who can evaluate your academic and professional achievement, describe your strengths and weaknesses, and comment on your character, integrity and motivation. Letters that speak to your ability to perform in a post graduate academic program are especially useful. These should be mailed from your recommenders directly to:

Step 4:
Arrange to have your GRE test scores sent to the Graduate Division (UCI code: R4859).

Step 5:
Arrange to have duplicate transcripts of all necessary academic records sent directly to Social Ecology II.
