Application fee fellowships are available to first year students who enroll in Fall 2024.

Please follow the instructions below to start your application process. For help with this process, please contact us at (949) 824-8095.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1:

Fill out the online application.  Use code 7222B in Social Ecology, or click on the Criminology, Law & Society M.A.S. option in the drop down menu in the School of Social Ecology under the Degree section of the application.  Please note, the Personal History and Statement of Purpose writing sections are part of the online application- please do not send us separate writing samples.

Step 2:

Once you have finalized your application in full, press the submit button which then prompts you to pay the $135 domestic application fee (non refundable).  Payment must be made by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Checks cannot be accepted.

After submitting the application fee, your application will be submitted and you should receive e-mail confirmation.   If you would like to submit an application fee waiver, please visit http://www.grad.uci.edu/admissions/applying-to-uci/fee-waivers.php. Note: Fee waivers are available to qualified domestic applicants only.  The fee for the International application is $155.

Step 3:

Provide Letter of Recommendation and Waiver of Access forms to the three people you have identified who can evaluate your academic and/ or professional achievement, describe your strengths and weaknesses, and comment on your character, integrity and motivation. Letters that speak to your ability to perform in a post graduate academic program are especially useful. These must be submitted online.

More information about the Letter of Recommendation process can be found here: http://www.grad.uci.edu/admissions/applying-to-uci/letters-recommendation.html

Step 4:

Arrange to have an unofficial copy of your transcripts from each school you attended and upload them into your application file.  Once accepted to the program, you will be required to to provide us with an official transcript.  An official copy is one sent directly from the school, to our office, in an unopened envelope. Additionally, some schools may offer an electronic version of the official transcript. In such cases, please contact the MAS Assistant Director for further instructions as to where the electronic copy can be sent. We require transcripts from ALL institutions attended, not just where you completed your undergraduate degree.

If you have any technical difficulties submitting your application, email webmaster@rgs.uci.edu or call 949-824-6363. Applicants can expect a decision within a few weeks after your application is marked complete.  All supplemental materials must arrive before or on the application deadline in order for application to be deemed complete and reviewed.
